I currently serve as the State Representative for the 93rd District, representing Clinton County and the southern portion of Gratiot County. I serve as chair of the House Judiciary Committee; I also serve on the Elections, Health, and Agriculture committees. I am a get-things-done conservative. Government should not be viewed as magic bean that solves all problems, but there is also a place for common-sense legislative reforms that can better the lives of many.
I was honored to be named an Assistant Attorney General in 2011. I’ve worked with health professionals, always working to protect the public health, safety, and welfare. I also served as an Assistant Attorney General for the Michigan Public Service Commission, helping ensure affordable and reliable energy service for the people of Michigan.
I live in Clinton County with my wife Alicia, an OB/GYN physician, and our daughter Claire, who is three years old.
